Feature request: clickable URLs for apps and local files/folders

Clickable URLs can currently only be made for HTTP(S) addresses.

We often use addresses to files/folders on local/network drives. I also use Evernote, which has its own evernote:// schema to open a note inside the app. There are other lots of apps that behave similarly, especially on mobile.

Right now, we have to copy and paste the link into a browser window for it to open. It would be ideal if we could just click on them and they would open as the browser intended.

A way to do this would be to just accept any URL that starts with {something}://

Have you tried our Cloud Link option in the task’s file attachment dropdown? I think that is exactly what you are looking for.

No, that’s not what we need. The feature you speak of adds a separate attachment rather than allowing for a link inline with the text. We need the ability to add non-HTTP(S) URLs to text in a message.

I tested adding an Evernote app URL to Cloud link and SmartTask automatically prefixed the address with “unsafe:”, rendering the link inoperable.
